VOLUNTARY ASSISTANCE ALWAYS NEEDED! |
Vacancies at RASASCStaff Vacancies (salaried)Updated 16 January 2012: At present we have no salaried staff vacancies at RASASC but when any such vacancies do arise, they will be advertised here and in the local press.
Voluntary Vacancies (non-salaried)Become a Volunteer Counsellor We have no counsellor vacancies at present, but further RASASC voluntary counsellors may be needed in the future for our Guildford sessions during working daytimes and also on Monday and Wednesday evenings. To be a RASASC counsellor you must have a Diploma in Counselling and be BACP registered, and must have a minimum of 100 hours general counselling experience. If you wish to be considered for any voluntary counsellor position that may arise, send your CV to our Counselling Co-ordinator at our office (by post or e-mail). References will be required as an enhanced CRB check will be made. Please note that, due to the nature of our work, we are unfortunately unable to offer temporary placements for those seeking to extend their counselling experience. Become a Trustee Our Management Committee works to ensure good practice in the running of RASASC and to constantly improve our services and raise public awareness of sexual violence issues. We have a full quota of Trustees for 2012, but may need some others in 2013. If interested in a future Trustee position, please contact our office for more information about the nature and requirements of the role. |
Other Voluntary Vacancies (non-salaried)Become A Helpline Volunteer - Voluntary assistance is always needed. Are you a good listener? Can you spare 2½ hours on one evening, approximately once every 3 weeks? We run a course of in-house training sessions for new voluntary helpers twice a year - see training for course dates. Become an Admin or Fundraising Volunteer - We often need more office help with general administration related to running the charity and planning/preparing fundraising events. This work can be as varied as telephoning, internet research, addressing envelopes, photocopying, updating computer records, replacing collecting boxes... If you have any office and/or fundraising experience, or are just happy to muck in, then please contact our office (by phone, post or preferably e-mail). We'd also like to hear from you if you have any past experience of applying for grants and handling funding applications.
Become a Specialist Volunteer - We are seeking experienced volunteers in Social Media, Legacies and Ebay Selling, to assist for a term of one year. Send your CV and details of experience to our office e-mail admin contact. Other Ways To Volunteer Your Help Can you support our work by displaying any of our leaflets and posters? If so, contact our office with your details. We are also looking for extra "public relatons" volunteers to stand with our display board at College and University Health Fairs - this involves just a couple of hours on a single weekday once a month or two, talking to enquirers and helping to promote RASASC's services in general. Again, contact our office if interested in this outgoing role. |
