FOR BEST VIEWING, enable style sheets (CSS) in your browser. RASASC is a UK Registered Charity based in Guildford, Surrey, founded in 1992 to help male and female survivors of rape or sexual abuse. Clients calling our confidential Phone Helpline or attending our counselling sessions can talk to us in safety. |
RASASC Advice Guides OnlineWe produce advice and guidance leaflets of various kinds, not just to promote public awareness but also to provide specific help for those in individual circumstances of need. |
We hope the web-inclusion of advices below will assist any survivor (or their partner) who might be unsure about seeking support, and enable a better public understanding of the scale and depth of problems that survivors continue to suffer long after the initial damage of rape or sexual abuse. |
RASASC also performs 'educational' work, visiting statutory and voluntary organisations and community groups to talk about the problems of sexual abuse and distribute leaflets such as "Young People - It's Not your Fault" (our publication targeted to increase risk awareness and support understanding among teenagers). But we are not government funded - we exist only by means of occasional grants and business sponsorships, public donations, income from providing counselling sessions and the proceeds of events organised by friends and supporters. Just as we support victims and survivors, we also need your support too. If you've never suffered sexual violence at the hands of someone else, please nevertheless consider offering some help or making a voluntary donation. Every contribution helps a victim to become a survivor. |
