RASASC Audio Broadcasts
In the autumn of 2009, RASASC was selected for "Podcasting 4 Posterity", a special communications package
put together by a partnership of Eagle Radio’s “Community Campaign”, Guildford College and Government funding.
Using a laptop with the necessary software and a handheld recording device, a mixed group of RASASC
volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are now learning the various technical skills required to
plan, record and produce audio broadcasts.
Mentored by Julia Moore
(an Eagle Radio presenter) the group completed their
first audio in December, describing the work of our Helpline Volunteers.
Further broadcasts will be added periodically on several different aspects of our work.

Audio 001: The RASASC Helpline
This 12 minute broadcast begins with a 3 minute reconstruction of a survivor's first
helpline call, after which several of RASASC's trained volunteers describe their
role and experiences in manning the evening helpline as available "listeners" for anyone who needs to call and talk.
