FLEET TO BATH ON TWO WHEELS
Friday-Saturday, 30th-31st July 2010

CHL-SAG Bike Ride Participants 2009 Colleagues of Capital Home Loans Mortgages in conjunction with the South African Church of Guildford are weekend-cycling from Fleet (Hants) to Bath (Avon) hoping to raise £1,000 for RASASC. They start on Friday 30th July towards Aldermaston, along the Kennet & Avon canal to Hungerford resting overnight, and on Saturday they will head on to Bath arriving by late afternoon. There a support crew will collect the weary riders and transport them back home. RASASC is their chosen Charity of the Month, and donations in support can be made online at www.mycharitypage.com/JannieVermeulen until 29th August or send a cheque (made payable to RASASC) to RASASC Fleet/Bath Bike Ride, PO Box 1009, Guildford, Surrey GU1 9EE. Fundraising efforts like this bike ride are so important as they supplement client counselling payments and enable our counselling service to continue. An individual counselling session at RASASC costs £35 but many of our clients cannot work because of emotional scars and are sometimes only able to offer £5 towards covering this cost (although in the long term, many will return to work and may in the future make spontaneous donations or take part in other fundraising efforts).

NATALII'S FUNDRAISING SKYDIVE
Saturday 13th March 2010

Please sponsor our brave individual, aiming to raise £1,000 for us by a parachute jump! Natalii has raised over £600 towards her target already (as of 3rd March) - can you sponsor her too? Natalii feels very strongly about supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse, and we are really grateful to her for raising money for our services. To sponsor Natalii's skyjump, click on www.mycharitypage.com/nataliicharityskydive for an easy donation method and details (plus a graph of her sponsorship total so far). And remember - you can still sponsor Natalii AFTER the event too, up to midday on Sun 4th April.

OUTCOME - WHAT A GREAT RESULT: We extend a huge thank you to Natalii, who skydived "out of the blue" just wishing to do something for RASASC, and had a "totally thrilling" time - and raised £750 for RASASC. We also extend our thanks to all who sponsored her.

2010 / 2013 Marathon Fundraising

VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON
Sunday 25th April 2010, from Greenwich Park to The Mall.

2010 Virgin London Marathon Logo There are two ways to "fun run" in the London Marathon - by being drawn in the annual ballot or by running for a charity registered with the race organisers. RASASC has applied for charity entry places in the 2013 Marathon. If you'd like to be considered for a RASASC entry place contact our office now (i.e. straightaway) because there are usually more runners interested in running for each charity than there are charity places available, and we will therefore select our runners based on their connection to our good cause and how much money they will realistically be able to raise. Meanwhile there are other marathons around the UK that you can enter for RASASC more easily - for further details, including sponsorship forms, contact us!
