RASASC - How You Can Support Us
The Rape And Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASASC) is a UK Registered Charity based
in Guildford, Surrey, founded in 1992 with the aim of helping male
and female survivors of rape or sexual abuse. Clients can talk to us in confidence using our
Phone Helpline or through attending
individual counselling sessions or our same-sex
Self-Help Group Meetings.
We also produce advice and guidance leaflets and perform 'educational work',
visiting statutory and voluntary organisations and community groups to talk about the work of the centre.
But we are not government-funded. We exist only by means of occasional grants and business
sponsorships, public donations, income from providing counselling sessions and the
proceeds of events organised by friends and supporters. Just as we support sufferers of
unwanted sexual trauma, so we need your support too:
By volunteering help
We are a dedicated and supportive group of individuals needing more male and female
volunteers to assist our services and activities. Can you help us?
We train new volunteers on a regular basis and provide ongoing support for their development.
We're also seeking more Counsellors and Mgmt. Committee Advisors & Trustees
- our volunteer page has details.

By direct donations and/or sponsorships

Help is also needed with fundraising throughout the year and/or to assist in planning and organising events.
If you've never suffered sexual violence at the hands of someone else, please nevertheless consider offering
some assistance or making a voluntary donation. Every contribution helps a victim to become a survivor.
