How to sponsor individual volunteers

Members of the public can support our services by sponsoring the individual fundraising activities of our volunteers. Latest activities such as sponsored walks, bike rides, abseiling or charity gliding are described on our news and events page, where links to dedicated individual sponsorship-collection pages can usually be found. Amounts can be pledged online or can be phoned or e-mailed to our contact office.

Supporters among the general public can also perform an individual fundraising activity of their own (eg. a walk or a skydive) to collect sponsorships in aid of RASASC, as long as the activity has been agreed with RASASC in advance. Contact us to discuss any ideas - we can assist with sponsorship forms, website advertising and other publicity to help maximise the success of any planned activity.

How to sponsor specific RASASC needs

Sponsored RASASC Banner Occasional appeals for sponsors to fund specific needs (eg. replacement computers, office equipment etc.) are publicised in our PDF newsletters. For example in our June 2009 issue we sought "a generous person or company to sponsor a portable roller banner for £175", and by the time of our August PDF we were able to thank Noelle Callingham-Woods of Inline Solutions Ltd and Dr Anne Appleton for the display banner's purchase and printing (shown right). To sponsor similar items, contact our office for a discussion - or ask us to add you (or your organisation) to our newsletter e-mail list so as to be kept aware of future specific appeals.

Club or Company Sponsors

Our work is greatly assisted by occasional sponsorships from other organisations. This usually takes one of three forms:
  • direct donation from the club or company
  • a self-organised fundraising activity
  • physical assistance for a specific project.

For example in mid-2010 the Government Office for the South East (GOSE) had a day out at RASASC, when 18 willing GOSE volunteers turned up with paintbrushes, hammers, nails and cleaning products to completely overhaul our offices. Whilst waiting for the paint to dry they even did a spot of leaflet folding and envelope stuffing!

We are always looking for additional sponsors - notably corporate sponsorships for extended periods. If you'd like to sponsor our activities in any way, please contact our office for a discussion with our Management Co-ordinator - we'll always be pleased to hear from you!
